10 franchises i want to see in Lego Dimensions

Description

So considering Lego Dimensions has a 3 year plan, I thought it would be cool to post my wishlist of the franchises I would like to see in year 3.

Honorable mentions:

Undertale: As great of a game as it is, it seems very unlikely that it would appear due to being owned by someone, not a major company.

Other Valve games: With Valve, the problem is more the content. Half life, Left 4 Dead and Team fortress 2 are all rated 15 and above.

Ben 10: This franchise seems more likely to appear than others, but i probably place it at No. 11.

Rick and Morty: Same as Valve, too mature content.

Family Guy: Same as Rick and Morty.

10. Regular Show: So ever since the trailer for year 2 was released, I couldn't help but notice the amount of Cartoon Network Franchises that are coming to this game. These include Adventure Time, Teen Titans Go! (sadly) and  the Powerpuff Girls (the original version, not the crappy 2016 version). This made me think of how other CN shows could appear in the game. I chose Regular show because it's one of my favorite shows on at the moment. This could also be a good idea because it would be a great farewell to the show, due to it being cancelled. The reason it's at number 10 though is because there are other franchises I would like to see a bit more.

Team pack: Mordecai, Rigby, Golf Cart, Games console

Level pack: Muscle man, Caravan, the Power (Keyboard), the Park

9. Wallace and Gromit: Possibly the least recognized out of my choices (unless there's a huge fandom I am unsure of). This one is more of a personal choice, mainly because of how Aardman take the idea man and his dog from North England, and then make them go on crazy adventures. This is also one of the longest running franchises, starting in 1989. Despite it not being as well known as the others on this list, I find it would be much easier to acquire them for the game. If you can have Sonic in Lego Dimensions, why not have Wallace and Gromit.

Team pack: Wallace, Gromit, Anti-pesto Van, Techno trousers

Level pack: Cooker (Moon robot), Rocket, the Moon

8. Dreamworks: This is actually one of 4 choices on this list that is not a standalone franchise. I had an idea in my head that rather than having a franchise such as Shrek or Kung Fu Panda, Dreamworks as a whole company could be in Lego Dimensions. Considering that Lego has a Minifigures line, Lego could make a wave of Dreamworks characters as Minifigure polybags.

Dreamworks Minifigure polybags: Shrek, Fiona, Oscar, Eep, Alex the Lion, Megamind, Po, Tip Tucci, Roddy, RJ the Racoon, Captain Underpants, Hiccup, Barry Bee, Ginormica, Jack Frost, Boogeyman

7. Digimon: Digimon is another franchise that seems unlikely to appear. This is probably because it's an anime, not a cartoon. Due to it's content, I feel as if there won't be any anime appearing anytime soon. Digimon however is much more child friendly than the usual anime that many of us see. Saban also has the rights for the English dub and along with another franchise of theirs, it might be possible.

Team pack: Tai, Agumon, Greymon, Digivice

Fun pack: Omnimon, Crest of Courage

6. Transformers G1: Transformers is another franchise that would be difficult to be put in Lego Dimensions. Considering Transformers is also a toyline owned by Hasbro. Transformers also had rip-off Lego at one point, which to me indicates that Hasbro doesn't want to cross with Lego. Even so, it would be nice to see a proper Lego Optimus Prime.

Team Pack: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Truck form Optimus, Matrix of Leadership

Fun Pack: Megatron, Energon cube

5. Power Rangers: The 2nd of the Minifigure polybags. Power Rangers seems like a good franchise to use because it would promote the upcoming Power Rangers movie in 2017. Because it is licensed by Saban, having Power Rangers in Lego Dimensions mean Digimon could also be in it. Depending on if Lego dimensions continues for Year 4 as well, it would be nice for them to be released on the 25th anniversary.

Power Rangers Minifigure polybags: MMPR red, black and white rangers, Zeo gold ranger, Turbo blue ranger, In Space Silver ranger, Lightspeed rescue Titanium ranger, Time force pink ranger, Ninja storm Blue ranger, Dino thunder yellow ranger, SPD red ranger, Mystic force green ranger, Jungle fury Violet ranger, RPM blue ranger, Samurai green ranger, Megaforce Red ranger

4. Marvel: I'm pretty sure everybody wants to see this franchise in Lego Dimensions. The only problem is that Disney owns the rights to Marvel (and Star Wars). My best guess is that if Marvel is going to be in this, Disney may have to be in it as well. Another problem is that Disney has it's own toys to life game that was recently cancelled. In general, as much as I want to see that Marvel and DC crossover, Disney is the main obstacle to get past. If the were able to get Marvel in Lego Dimensions, the best way would have to be in a Minifigure polybag wave, having several Marvel characters, but without a level.

Marvel Minifigure polybags: Iron man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Black Panther, Ms Marvel, Wasp, Ant man, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Wolverine, Spider-man, Loki, Thanos, Dr Doom

3. Nintendo: Like I said before, if Sonic can be in Lego Dimensions, why can't other franchises, more specifically video games. Nintendo seems like the best pick for me, just because we would finally get that Mario and Sonic crossover. I also chose Nintendo as a whole because there are so many characters I think should be in the game. As for the likeliness, it depends on Nintendo themselves. But if The Simpsons, Doctor Who and Portal can be in the game, so should Nintendo.

Nintendo Minifigure polybags: Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Link, Zelda, Kirby, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, Samus, Fox Mccloud, Falco, Marth, Lucina, Ash, Diddy Kong, Bowser

2. Steven Universe: This one seems to be the most likely to appear in Lego Dimensions, even more so than my first choice. Similar to Regular Show, Steven Universe airs on Cartoon Network and because of that, it means that it is a more likely candidate. It is also one of my favorite shows airing on TV right now. In fact, i am genuinely surprised that it didn't appear for Year 2, even if I didn't know shows from CN were going to be in it. Either way, I would love Steven Universe to be in Lego Dimensions.

Level pack: Steven, Lion, Rose's shield, Beach City

Team pack: Pearl, Amethyst, Greg's Van, Cookie cat

Fun pack: Garnet, Light cannon

1. Bionicle: Now, even while Bionicle is a franchise by Lego themselves, it seems that are saying that Bionicle won't be chosen because it's not like Lego minifigures. During one point Bionicle actually had minifigures at one point during it's time, they could just do the same thing again. G1 is far more popular than G2 from the way I see it, but considering that they are using Teen Titans Go rather than the original Teen Titans and how they are also using the 2016 Ghostbusters, I feel as if they were to do it, it would have the be the G2 version of Bionicle. But they still may potentially use the original versions.

Level pack: Tahu, Exo toa, Ignika, Mata-Nui (island)

Team pack: Gali, Kopaka, Ussanui, Vahi

Fun pack: Pohatu, Kolhii stick

That's all for now. Every franchise goes the their respective owners.

I really want that LEGO Ginormica figure, it’ll make me feel so happy.
